Narrative:

Descending into dfw controller asked us to expedite descent. Captain switched from VNAV to fl lvl change to comply. Captain needed to log an automatic land. We set up for runway 17C. We switched to approach control and they assigned us runway 17L. We set up for runway 17L and captain started to brief approach. We then get a runway change to runway 17C and are told to change to next approach controller frequency. We set up for and brief approach for runway 17C. As all of this was going on we were flying the cqy 6 approach. We passed dietz intersection at approximately 9000 ft and 250 KTS. As we were no longer in VNAV the plane did not slow to 210 KTS as called for on the approach. As soon as the captain realized that we were not at 210 KTS he immediately slowed to 210 KTS.
