Narrative:

Flight was normal during the flight till descent to landing. The event occurred approximately descending through FL180. Flight attendant notified crew of smell in aft cabin. Captain instructed flight attendant to investigate. Flight attendant could smell odor from row 16 and back. She also notified us it was coming from behind row 18B and 18C. Accomplished cabin or cockpit smoke/fire/fumes memory items. Declared emergency with ATC and proceeded direct to airport. Began electrical system fire or smoke checklist to shed busses off due to time. Landed with no incident on runway xx from a visual approach. Asked crash fire rescue equipment to inspect airplane; which they complied. While crash fire rescue equipment was investigating; the flight attendant notified us the odor was intensifying in the cabin. Captain called for evacuate/evacuation of aircraft.

Title: EMB145 FLT ATTENDANT REPORTS INTENSIFYING FUMES AND STRONG ODOR NEAR THE REAR OF THE ACFT. FLT CREW DECLARES AN EMERGENCY; UPON LANDING ODOR PERSISTED RESULTING IN A GROUND EVACUATION.

Narrative: FLT WAS NORMAL DURING THE FLT TILL DSCNT TO LNDG. THE EVENT OCCURRED APPROX DSNDING THROUGH FL180. FLT ATTENDANT NOTIFIED CREW OF SMELL IN AFT CABIN. CAPT INSTRUCTED FLT ATTENDANT TO INVESTIGATE. FLT ATTENDANT COULD SMELL ODOR FROM ROW 16 AND BACK. SHE ALSO NOTIFIED US IT WAS COMING FROM BEHIND ROW 18B AND 18C. ACCOMPLISHED CABIN OR COCKPIT SMOKE/FIRE/FUMES MEMORY ITEMS. DECLARED EMER WITH ATC AND PROCEEDED DIRECT TO ARPT. BEGAN ELECTRICAL SYS FIRE OR SMOKE CHKLIST TO SHED BUSSES OFF DUE TO TIME. LANDED WITH NO INCIDENT ON RWY XX FROM A VISUAL APCH. ASKED CFR TO INSPECT AIRPLANE; WHICH THEY COMPLIED. WHILE CFR WAS INVESTIGATING; THE FLT ATTENDANT NOTIFIED US THE ODOR WAS INTENSIFYING IN THE CABIN. CAPT CALLED FOR EVAC OF ACFT.
