Narrative:

We were on the radio with potomac approach. We were 25-30 miles away from the airport. We had been assigned the ILS runway 19R and instructed to fly a heading that would take us through the localizer. Once we passed through the localizer; potomac approach changed the approach to ILS runway 19L and gave us a heading to intercept at the same time. I was the PNF so I changed the approach in the FMS and extended the centerline; then quickly set myself up for the approach. Captain quickly set himself up and briefed the approach. On the new heading that we were given; we were instructed intercept the runway 19L localizer. Captain forgot to swap the localizer frequencies in the navigation radio which led us to intercept the runway 19R localizer. ATC notified us of the mistake at the exact time that we caught it ourselves. They gave us a new heading to intercept the runway 19L localizer and we corrected the mistake. The event occurred because; ATC gave us a heading and a new approach too closely together without enough time to prepare; which caused the mistake.

Title: LATE RWY CHANGE RESULTS IN E145 CREW INSTALLING NEW RWY IN THE FMS BUT FAILING TO CHANGE THE ILS FREQUENCY.

Narrative: WE WERE ON THE RADIO WITH POTOMAC APCH. WE WERE 25-30 MILES AWAY FROM THE ARPT. WE HAD BEEN ASSIGNED THE ILS RWY 19R AND INSTRUCTED TO FLY A HEADING THAT WOULD TAKE US THROUGH THE LOC. ONCE WE PASSED THROUGH THE LOC; POTOMAC APCH CHANGED THE APCH TO ILS RWY 19L AND GAVE US A HEADING TO INTERCEPT AT THE SAME TIME. I WAS THE PNF SO I CHANGED THE APCH IN THE FMS AND EXTENDED THE CTRLINE; THEN QUICKLY SET MYSELF UP FOR THE APCH. CAPT QUICKLY SET HIMSELF UP AND BRIEFED THE APCH. ON THE NEW HEADING THAT WE WERE GIVEN; WE WERE INSTRUCTED INTERCEPT THE RWY 19L LOC. CAPT FORGOT TO SWAP THE LOC FREQUENCIES IN THE NAV RADIO WHICH LED US TO INTERCEPT THE RWY 19R LOC. ATC NOTIFIED US OF THE MISTAKE AT THE EXACT TIME THAT WE CAUGHT IT OURSELVES. THEY GAVE US A NEW HEADING TO INTERCEPT THE RWY 19L LOC AND WE CORRECTED THE MISTAKE. THE EVENT OCCURRED BECAUSE; ATC GAVE US A HEADING AND A NEW APCH TOO CLOSELY TOGETHER WITHOUT ENOUGH TIME TO PREPARE; WHICH CAUSED THE MISTAKE.
