Narrative:

During cruise after fuel burned out of center wing tank. Burned tank to engine with all pumps operating and xfeed switch in closed position. Got fuel imbal light on left main tank (1200 pounds less than right). Tried to balance fuel by opening xfeed. Xfeed light inoperative and no way to know xfeed status. Ran fuel imbal and xfeed inoperative QRH. Contacted maintenance control and dispatch. Checked circuit breaker panel; found xfeed circuit breaker popped. All agreed with diversion to ZZZ. Declared emergency and landed without incidence.
