Narrative:

Our flight plan's first fix was rbv VOR. There is no SID shown on flight plan. Normal SID assigned on pre departure clearance is kennedy 1 departure and if using runway 31L then the breezy point climb. Received pre departure clearance and it showed greki 3 departure; martn transition; breezy point climb. This did not seem right as this SID takes you north of jfk and we were going west. There was also no thunderstorm activity in the area. Called clearance delivery to verify SID. They said the pre departure clearance was in error and reclreared us via the kennedy 1 departure breezy point climb. This is the first time I have seen an error for the wrong SID on the pre departure clearance since we started using this system. The lesson here is if something does not seem reasonable then question it.

Title: A B767 PILOT DEPARTING JFK QUESTIONED A PDC SID NORMALLY ISSUED FOR NORTH DEP WHEN THEY WERE DEPARTING WEST. THE PDC WAS INCORRECT.

Narrative: OUR FLT PLAN'S FIRST FIX WAS RBV VOR. THERE IS NO SID SHOWN ON FLT PLAN. NORMAL SID ASSIGNED ON PDC IS KENNEDY 1 DEP AND IF USING RWY 31L THEN THE BREEZY POINT CLB. RECEIVED PDC AND IT SHOWED GREKI 3 DEP; MARTN TRANSITION; BREEZY POINT CLB. THIS DID NOT SEEM RIGHT AS THIS SID TAKES YOU NORTH OF JFK AND WE WERE GOING WEST. THERE WAS ALSO NO TSTM ACTIVITY IN THE AREA. CALLED CLRNC DELIVERY TO VERIFY SID. THEY SAID THE PDC WAS IN ERROR AND RECLREARED US VIA THE KENNEDY 1 DEP BREEZY POINT CLB. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE SEEN AN ERROR FOR THE WRONG SID ON THE PDC SINCE WE STARTED USING THIS SYSTEM. THE LESSON HERE IS IF SOMETHING DOES NOT SEEM REASONABLE THEN QUESTION IT.
