Narrative:

Dispatchers need guidance for the Q-400 landing report when contamination is selected. Company allows for three levels of contamination but the fsm only shows contamination levels for takeoff not landing. In addition; the landing report only shows flaps 35 and 15 with contamination but no levels. What does the crew use for the contamination levels for landing? In preparing a ZZZ release I discovered the planning data line could show a more restr landing weight but this information is not available in the performance report tables on the release.callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter indicated that the dash 8-400 performance manual identifies three levels of contamination. These levels reflect the water content of snow for determining takeoff limitations. These charts are available for takeoff; but not for landing. The reporter would prefer similar data; if available; to determine the landing limitation for the more restr airports in the company's route structure. The data available only categorizes landing performance with regard to the depth of snow. Performance data for other aircraft in the airline's fleet is not as specific with regard to identifying contamination.

Title: DISPATCHER WOULD LIKE ADDITIONAL LNDG DATA FOR FLT PLANNING THE DASH 8-400 INTO ARPTS WHEN THE RWYS ARE SNOW COVERED.

Narrative: DISPATCHERS NEED GUIDANCE FOR THE Q-400 LNDG RPT WHEN CONTAMINATION IS SELECTED. COMPANY ALLOWS FOR THREE LEVELS OF CONTAMINATION BUT THE FSM ONLY SHOWS CONTAMINATION LEVELS FOR TAKEOFF NOT LNDG. IN ADDITION; THE LNDG RPT ONLY SHOWS FLAPS 35 AND 15 WITH CONTAMINATION BUT NO LEVELS. WHAT DOES THE CREW USE FOR THE CONTAMINATION LEVELS FOR LNDG? IN PREPARING A ZZZ RELEASE I DISCOVERED THE PLANNING DATA LINE COULD SHOW A MORE RESTR LNDG WT BUT THIS INFORMATION IS NOT AVAILABLE IN THE PERFORMANCE RPT TABLES ON THE RELEASE.CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR INDICATED THAT THE DASH 8-400 PERFORMANCE MANUAL IDENTIFIES THREE LEVELS OF CONTAMINATION. THESE LEVELS REFLECT THE WATER CONTENT OF SNOW FOR DETERMINING TKOF LIMITATIONS. THESE CHARTS ARE AVAILABLE FOR TKOF; BUT NOT FOR LNDG. THE RPTR WOULD PREFER SIMILAR DATA; IF AVAILABLE; TO DETERMINE THE LNDG LIMITATION FOR THE MORE RESTR ARPTS IN THE COMPANY'S RTE STRUCTURE. THE DATA AVAILABLE ONLY CATEGORIZES LNDG PERFORMANCE WITH REGARD TO THE DEPTH OF SNOW. PERFORMANCE DATA FOR OTHER ACFT IN THE AIRLINE'S FLEET IS NOT AS SPECIFIC WITH REGARD TO IDENTIFYING CONTAMINATION.
