Narrative:

I am filing this report as observer of crew. I reported incident via phone to the on call dispatch manager about 2 hours after block-in. The captain filed his company report with his flight manager. I plan to file FAA advisory circular #70-2 'reporting of laser illumination of aircraft.' sun was just setting. Flight was on an RJ50 seater. On 3 mi final (900 ft AGL) to runway 26L; green laser presence caught eye of first officer at our 2 O'clock position. It was originating in some kind of ground parking area (planes or vehicles?) on or near southwest portion of briggs army airfield. All 3 of us looked and I was flashed in the eyes momentarily -- twice within about 2 seconds before I looked away. Laser was erratic and less than 5 seconds in duration. Maybe some kind of army designation laser equipment undergoing maintenance? Captain notified tower after landing. All crew members had minor fuzziness in vision for about 5 mins; and all seemed fine the next day. Will undergo eye examination as soon as practical and follow up as required.
