Narrative:

I am an air carrier reservations employee. I fly a lot and occasionally notice what I believe are near misses. This worries me of course but I have not known how to report it. But I wanted to report what I believe was an near midair collision. After our pilot just announced we were flying over the ZZZ area; I was watching outside my window on left side of plane. I was startled to see an air carrier jet zoom just under us. I know it was not more than a few hundred ft. Every detail of the plane was visible. I just thought I should report this. If either plane had been off at all on their route; there would have been a collision. They were no more than 100 ft apart horizontal and 300 ft or so ft vertical.
