Narrative:

Possible navigation track deviation. On takeoff; selected LNAV on MCP (confirmed on ADI FMA); first officer was PF; continued to hand fly the aircraft as per the pratt & whitney procedures on commercial chart 1 for ZZZZ departures. At 1500 ft AGL VNAV was selected on MCP (confirmed on ADI FMA). Shortly after autoplt was engaged; the autoplt began a steady pitch up to well above the flight director pitch command causing a rapid decrease to near V2. Autoplt was disconnected; a proper pitch attitude was established and the departure was continued. In the course of the pitch-up distraction; autoplt disconnect and re-establishment of proper pitch attitude; we overshot our first turn on the departure -- by how much I don't know. We re-established ourselves on the proper track as quickly as possible and continued the departure with no comments or complaints from departure control.
