Narrative:

Taxied a B777 into parking for hangar bay. Made right turn in front of B757 that had #2 engine removed and all cowls held open with engine chg boot strap system; air movement from taxiing B777 blew #2 engine outboard fan cowl off of the pylon and over the wing. The cowl separated just below the hinge point.

Title: MAINT TECHNICIAN DESCRIBED ACFT DAMAGE EVENT WHEN TAXIING ACFT INTO HANGAR AREA AND DAMAGING STRAPPED COWLING OF PARKED ACFT.

Narrative: TAXIED A B777 INTO PARKING FOR HANGAR BAY. MADE R TURN IN FRONT OF B757 THAT HAD #2 ENG REMOVED AND ALL COWLS HELD OPEN WITH ENG CHG BOOT STRAP SYS; AIR MOVEMENT FROM TAXIING B777 BLEW #2 ENG OUTBOARD FAN COWL OFF OF THE PYLON AND OVER THE WING. THE COWL SEPARATED JUST BELOW THE HINGE POINT.
