Narrative:
Prior to beginning of my shift; ZZZ1 maintenance found an airbus with abs cross wired. A plan was put into action to inspect all system that have been worked on in the air carrier system. Maintenance came up with a maintenance display item to reflect the work needing to be done. Aircraft X was sent a clean maintenance release; departing without the inspection. The maintenance release was; therefore; incorrect. Illegal maintenance release.
