Narrative:

While preparing for takeoff out of ZZZ; taxiing out to runway 15; the first officer was flying the leg to ZZZ1. Normal takeoff. We proceeded to take off at approximately 50 KTS and we got the master caution warning because of the bleed trip off light (right). We aborted and taxied off runway 15 at A2; talked with tower and passenger. We then ran the appropriate checklist to include reject takeoff; opc numbers (no penalties). We then ran the bleed trip off checklist; and when we reset the trip reset button; the light extinguished. We again attempted another takeoff and received the same light at approximately 50 KTS. At that point we made our way back to the gate and had maintenance look at the problem. Maintenance 'locked out' the right bleed valve; and we MEL'ed. We were given a new release and proceeded to attempt another takeoff on runway 15. Again; at approximately 50 KTS; we aborted again. We eventually taxied back to the gate where we received another aircraft and continued on our way. I have spoke to a few assistant chief pilots with regards to this event. At first conclusions; I was advised that a safety report may not be necessary; but after further investigation I was advised; due to the fact that I did not call dispatch/maintenance after the first abort and make a record of this abort; I should fill out a safety report. Looking back at this event; I could have called dispatch/maintenance and let them know that we aborted the takeoff.

Title: A B737 PILOT ABORTED THREE TKOF FOR AN ENG BLEED TRIP OFF LIGHT. THE BLEED WAS MEL'ED AND LOCKED OUT BEFORE THE FINAL ABORT WHICH GROUNDED THE ACFT.

Narrative: WHILE PREPARING FOR TKOF OUT OF ZZZ; TAXIING OUT TO RWY 15; THE FO WAS FLYING THE LEG TO ZZZ1. NORMAL TKOF. WE PROCEEDED TO TAKE OFF AT APPROX 50 KTS AND WE GOT THE MASTER CAUTION WARNING BECAUSE OF THE BLEED TRIP OFF LIGHT (R). WE ABORTED AND TAXIED OFF RWY 15 AT A2; TALKED WITH TWR AND PAX. WE THEN RAN THE APPROPRIATE CHKLIST TO INCLUDE REJECT TKOF; OPC NUMBERS (NO PENALTIES). WE THEN RAN THE BLEED TRIP OFF CHKLIST; AND WHEN WE RESET THE TRIP RESET BUTTON; THE LIGHT EXTINGUISHED. WE AGAIN ATTEMPTED ANOTHER TKOF AND RECEIVED THE SAME LIGHT AT APPROX 50 KTS. AT THAT POINT WE MADE OUR WAY BACK TO THE GATE AND HAD MAINT LOOK AT THE PROB. MAINT 'LOCKED OUT' THE R BLEED VALVE; AND WE MEL'ED. WE WERE GIVEN A NEW RELEASE AND PROCEEDED TO ATTEMPT ANOTHER TKOF ON RWY 15. AGAIN; AT APPROX 50 KTS; WE ABORTED AGAIN. WE EVENTUALLY TAXIED BACK TO THE GATE WHERE WE RECEIVED ANOTHER ACFT AND CONTINUED ON OUR WAY. I HAVE SPOKE TO A FEW ASSISTANT CHIEF PLTS WITH REGARDS TO THIS EVENT. AT FIRST CONCLUSIONS; I WAS ADVISED THAT A SAFETY RPT MAY NOT BE NECESSARY; BUT AFTER FURTHER INVESTIGATION I WAS ADVISED; DUE TO THE FACT THAT I DID NOT CALL DISPATCH/MAINT AFTER THE FIRST ABORT AND MAKE A RECORD OF THIS ABORT; I SHOULD FILL OUT A SAFETY RPT. LOOKING BACK AT THIS EVENT; I COULD HAVE CALLED DISPATCH/MAINT AND LET THEM KNOW THAT WE ABORTED THE TKOF.
