Narrative:

I was instructed to taxi to taxiway B for intersection takeoff runway 16 and as I taxied I was told there was a helicopter doing training on parallel taxiway to runway 16/34. Upon arriving to taxiway B the helicopter flew over me at approximately 300 ft taking off from taxiway and proceeded on out I suppose for a ways (don't know how far) and I continued to taxi to intersection B16 for takeoff and after run-up I noticed there was a military aircraft waiting on runway 16 at taxiway B for instructions to taxi into GA ramp. I called the tower saying ready for takeoff and I was asked which way I needed to turn out and I said to the left (east). The tower cleared me for takeoff and I did so and at 2000 FPM climb out I did my left turn at 500 ft and was climbing through 600-700 ft when the helicopter came under me at approximately 100 ft and the tower called me and said something about helicopter practicing and then garbled as helicopter was calling of near miss. I must add that I go in and out of this airport daily and if there is a helicopter in training that will be dangerous to my fixed wing aircraft; I'm always instructed to continue upwind to 1000 ft before turning eastbound. I was not told this by the tower and I assumed the helicopter was no danger as I had lost visual contact in my left turn and the tower knew I was going to make a left turn as I had given instructions. There were numerous radio conversations between helicopter and tower for a few mins and the helicopter pilot said he was going to report this near midair collision.

Title: A C182 PILOT REPORTS AN NMAC WITH A HELICOPTER AT A TOWER ARPT.

Narrative: I WAS INSTRUCTED TO TAXI TO TXWY B FOR INTXN TKOF RWY 16 AND AS I TAXIED I WAS TOLD THERE WAS A HELI DOING TRAINING ON PARALLEL TXWY TO RWY 16/34. UPON ARRIVING TO TXWY B THE HELI FLEW OVER ME AT APPROX 300 FT TAKING OFF FROM TXWY AND PROCEEDED ON OUT I SUPPOSE FOR A WAYS (DON'T KNOW HOW FAR) AND I CONTINUED TO TAXI TO INTXN B16 FOR TKOF AND AFTER RUN-UP I NOTICED THERE WAS A MIL ACFT WAITING ON RWY 16 AT TXWY B FOR INSTRUCTIONS TO TAXI INTO GA RAMP. I CALLED THE TWR SAYING READY FOR TKOF AND I WAS ASKED WHICH WAY I NEEDED TO TURN OUT AND I SAID TO THE L (E). THE TWR CLRED ME FOR TKOF AND I DID SO AND AT 2000 FPM CLBOUT I DID MY L TURN AT 500 FT AND WAS CLBING THROUGH 600-700 FT WHEN THE HELI CAME UNDER ME AT APPROX 100 FT AND THE TWR CALLED ME AND SAID SOMETHING ABOUT HELI PRACTICING AND THEN GARBLED AS HELI WAS CALLING OF NEAR MISS. I MUST ADD THAT I GO IN AND OUT OF THIS ARPT DAILY AND IF THERE IS A HELI IN TRAINING THAT WILL BE DANGEROUS TO MY FIXED WING ACFT; I'M ALWAYS INSTRUCTED TO CONTINUE UPWIND TO 1000 FT BEFORE TURNING EBOUND. I WAS NOT TOLD THIS BY THE TWR AND I ASSUMED THE HELI WAS NO DANGER AS I HAD LOST VISUAL CONTACT IN MY L TURN AND THE TWR KNEW I WAS GOING TO MAKE A L TURN AS I HAD GIVEN INSTRUCTIONS. THERE WERE NUMEROUS RADIO CONVERSATIONS BTWN HELI AND TWR FOR A FEW MINS AND THE HELI PLT SAID HE WAS GOING TO RPT THIS NMAC.
