Narrative:

We were parked in the xxl run-up pad with the parking brake set holding for sequence to takeoff. WX was good; high ceilings; and light winds. We were parked at an angle to the runway (150 degrees) behind the hold line for the taxiway. There were no other markings or lines in the run-up area. We were still monitoring ground frequency per his instructions. We monitored a clearance for an emb-145 to pull up next to us. We also monitored a call for an airbus to pull up next to him. First officer noted that the regional jet looked close on his right side. I looked to the right and acknowledged that the regional looked close. At the same time the first officer strained to see our right wingtip; we felt a bump and our airplane move. Immediately after the apparent collision; the ground controller advised us to move up to the runway. I immediately advised him that we believed that the regional jet had just hit us. A voice on the radio acknowledged that they had hit us. Ground stopped all traffic and reported the incident. They then assigned us an airport operations frequency. From that point on we responded to request by airport operations and the fire department. There were no reported injuries on our airplane. I advised the passenger of the incident and had them remain seated until the fire department advised us that there were no safety issues. Maintenance advised us that the regional jet's winglet had cut under our wing and inboard about 1 ft of our wingtip. The wings were wedged together. The brakes were on continuously from prior to the incident until we were advised to release them and the aircraft was pushed backward to separate the 2 wings. Passenger were deplaned at the location of the incident on a people mover.

Narrative: WE WERE PARKED IN THE XXL RUN-UP PAD WITH THE PARKING BRAKE SET HOLDING FOR SEQUENCE TO TKOF. WX WAS GOOD; HIGH CEILINGS; AND LIGHT WINDS. WE WERE PARKED AT AN ANGLE TO THE RWY (150 DEGS) BEHIND THE HOLD LINE FOR THE TXWY. THERE WERE NO OTHER MARKINGS OR LINES IN THE RUN-UP AREA. WE WERE STILL MONITORING GND FREQ PER HIS INSTRUCTIONS. WE MONITORED A CLRNC FOR AN EMB-145 TO PULL UP NEXT TO US. WE ALSO MONITORED A CALL FOR AN AIRBUS TO PULL UP NEXT TO HIM. FO NOTED THAT THE REGIONAL JET LOOKED CLOSE ON HIS R SIDE. I LOOKED TO THE R AND ACKNOWLEDGED THAT THE REGIONAL LOOKED CLOSE. AT THE SAME TIME THE FO STRAINED TO SEE OUR R WINGTIP; WE FELT A BUMP AND OUR AIRPLANE MOVE. IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE APPARENT COLLISION; THE GND CTLR ADVISED US TO MOVE UP TO THE RWY. I IMMEDIATELY ADVISED HIM THAT WE BELIEVED THAT THE REGIONAL JET HAD JUST HIT US. A VOICE ON THE RADIO ACKNOWLEDGED THAT THEY HAD HIT US. GND STOPPED ALL TFC AND RPTED THE INCIDENT. THEY THEN ASSIGNED US AN ARPT OPS FREQ. FROM THAT POINT ON WE RESPONDED TO REQUEST BY ARPT OPS AND THE FIRE DEPT. THERE WERE NO RPTED INJURIES ON OUR AIRPLANE. I ADVISED THE PAX OF THE INCIDENT AND HAD THEM REMAIN SEATED UNTIL THE FIRE DEPT ADVISED US THAT THERE WERE NO SAFETY ISSUES. MAINT ADVISED US THAT THE REGIONAL JET'S WINGLET HAD CUT UNDER OUR WING AND INBOARD ABOUT 1 FT OF OUR WINGTIP. THE WINGS WERE WEDGED TOGETHER. THE BRAKES WERE ON CONTINUOUSLY FROM PRIOR TO THE INCIDENT UNTIL WE WERE ADVISED TO RELEASE THEM AND THE ACFT WAS PUSHED BACKWARD TO SEPARATE THE 2 WINGS. PAX WERE DEPLANED AT THE LOCATION OF THE INCIDENT ON A PEOPLE MOVER.
