Narrative:
Aircraft X en route to jfk was cleared by previous sector to FL330. He checked on to our frequency climbing to FL350 but FL330 was in the data block. No one at the sector heard the altitude he was climbing to. When he checked through FL330; he was within 5 mi of aircraft Y.

Narrative: ACFT X ENRTE TO JFK WAS CLRED BY PREVIOUS SECTOR TO FL330. HE CHKED ON TO OUR FREQ CLBING TO FL350 BUT FL330 WAS IN THE DATA BLOCK. NO ONE AT THE SECTOR HEARD THE ALT HE WAS CLBING TO. WHEN HE CHKED THROUGH FL330; HE WAS WITHIN 5 MI OF ACFT Y.
