Narrative:
Performed rudder free-play check (engineering document) on aircraft XXX. All 3 rudders; pcs's failed free-play check. Generated north/right XXX to cover remove and replace of positive control area's. I missed step 34 of engineering document thinking by generating north/right's I had complied with step. I later realized that I did not comply with the whole step. In the future; I will take my time reading the paperwork and make sure I comply with all steps.

I MISSED STEP 34 OF ENGINEERING DOCUMENT THINKING BY GENERATING N/R'S I HAD COMPLIED WITH STEP. I LATER REALIZED THAT I DID NOT COMPLY WITH THE WHOLE STEP. IN THE FUTURE; I WILL TAKE MY TIME READING THE PAPERWORK AND MAKE SURE I COMPLY WITH ALL STEPS.
