Narrative:

Database mismatch/error from collins showing jvl VOR at airport and jvl airport at VOR causing us to turn about 8 NM early on airway. Controller notified us of situation. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated that the VOR and airport are swapped in the database. Correcting the error simply requires moving the airport to the VOR's location and the VOR to the airport's location.

Title: A PILOT REPORTS THE FMC DATABASE IN HIS ACFT INCORRECTLY IDENTIFIED JVL ARPT AT THE OFF FIELD VOR SITE AND THE JVL VOR AT THE ARPT'S PHYSICAL LOCATION.

Narrative: DATABASE MISMATCH/ERROR FROM COLLINS SHOWING JVL VOR AT ARPT AND JVL ARPT AT VOR CAUSING US TO TURN ABOUT 8 NM EARLY ON AIRWAY. CTLR NOTIFIED US OF SITUATION. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE REPORTER STATED THAT THE VOR AND ARPT ARE SWAPPED IN THE DATABASE. CORRECTING THE ERROR SIMPLY REQUIRES MOVING THE ARPT TO THE VOR'S LOCATION AND THE VOR TO THE ARPT'S LOCATION.
