Narrative:

I had turned to a westerly heading and was descending out of 1500 ft MSL on final approach into the ground level hospital helipad; when at approximately 300 ft AGL and 60 KIAS I made visual contact with a robinson helicopter crossing from our right (north) to left (south) low level and at a high rate of speed. This aircraft was approximately 100 ft below and less than 300 ft in front of us as it crossed. I applied aft cyclic to slow my forward airspeed and stop my rate of descent. I witnessed the other aircraft make a hard right turn followed by a hard left turn before exiting my field of view. I re-established my landing profile and landed without incident.
