Narrative:

Our aircraft had the right thrust reverser deferred per our MEL procedures as inoperative for the flight. We were given a visual approach into iah on runway 26L. I had briefed the approach for runway 26L and advised my first officer that we would only use the left thrust reverser during landing since the right reverser was deferred. We made a normal landing on runway 26L in iah. During the rollout; I mistakenly pulled up on the left fuel shutoff lock and put the left thrust lever into the fuel shutoff position instead of unlocking the left thrust reverser and spooling up the engine to aid in stopping the aircraft like I should have done. This was completely accidental since I had every intention of grabbing the correct lever during the approach. The engine shut off during the rollout; and I used normal braking to stop and clear the runway. We did not attempt to relight the engine during the rollout and continued to the gate on the right engine. We had maintenance come out to the aircraft at the gate to dry motor and do an engine run on the aircraft. In the future; I will make sure of the correct lever before moving it.

Title: CL600 PLT INADVERTENTLY SHUT AN ENG DOWN ON LNDG ROLL.

Narrative: OUR ACFT HAD THE R THRUST REVERSER DEFERRED PER OUR MEL PROCS AS INOP FOR THE FLT. WE WERE GIVEN A VISUAL APCH INTO IAH ON RWY 26L. I HAD BRIEFED THE APCH FOR RWY 26L AND ADVISED MY FO THAT WE WOULD ONLY USE THE L THRUST REVERSER DURING LNDG SINCE THE R REVERSER WAS DEFERRED. WE MADE A NORMAL LNDG ON RWY 26L IN IAH. DURING THE ROLLOUT; I MISTAKENLY PULLED UP ON THE L FUEL SHUTOFF LOCK AND PUT THE L THRUST LEVER INTO THE FUEL SHUTOFF POS INSTEAD OF UNLOCKING THE L THRUST REVERSER AND SPOOLING UP THE ENG TO AID IN STOPPING THE ACFT LIKE I SHOULD HAVE DONE. THIS WAS COMPLETELY ACCIDENTAL SINCE I HAD EVERY INTENTION OF GRABBING THE CORRECT LEVER DURING THE APCH. THE ENG SHUT OFF DURING THE ROLLOUT; AND I USED NORMAL BRAKING TO STOP AND CLR THE RWY. WE DID NOT ATTEMPT TO RELIGHT THE ENG DURING THE ROLLOUT AND CONTINUED TO THE GATE ON THE R ENG. WE HAD MAINT COME OUT TO THE ACFT AT THE GATE TO DRY MOTOR AND DO AN ENG RUN ON THE ACFT. IN THE FUTURE; I WILL MAKE SURE OF THE CORRECT LEVER BEFORE MOVING IT.
