Narrative:

We were on the cedar creek arrival so we initially set up the runway 31R approach. We were given runway 35R by approach control. We set everything up for runway 35R except we missed setting the proper course; which was still set to 309. We were on a 340 degree heading at intercept and the aircraft made a hard bank turn to the left. As PF I disconnected the autoplt and went wings level. We immediately realized our error; reset the course and turned back and intercepted the localizer. We then made a normal approach. I do not believe we conflicted with any other traffic. As PF I should have given the aircraft to the first officer while I briefed the approach.
