Narrative:

At FL380 cruise we received a hydraulic ECAM with ground system quantity 0. All ECAM items complied with. This malfunction required manual gear lowering; single reverser landing; and extended ground roll calculations due to inoperative spoilers and alternate braking. I declared an emergency with approach in order to ensure a 15 mi final in order to accomplish the manual gear checklist. Also; without nosewheel steering; we would only clear the runway; and need a tug from the hi-speed taxiway. A cabin prep was not ordered; though a cabin advisory was. All checklists were complied with; and landing was uneventful.
