Narrative:

Were cleared the civet 5 (with exception) delete upper altitudes and slow to 250 KTS. Crew discussed 'delete upper altitudes' did not read back runway (that we remember). We had programmed the runway 24R approach into the FMC. When we had flown to civet; ATC noted we were right of course 2 mi. PNF asked which runway we were cleared to. ATC responded runway 25L and gave us direct fuelr maintain 10000 ft. We proceeded to fuelr and runway 25L uneventfully. Too much information in 1 transmission. Leave the modifications of descend via out of the clearance. If deviations to the STAR are required in this traffic and WX approach -- give vectors.
