Narrative:

At john tune airport there is a helipad painted on the airport apron where helicopters frequently land for fuel and services. I was approaching the helipad from the north (winds were generally light out of the south) on a normal approach angle. The conditions were very dark with no illumination from the moon. I had made all of my radio calls stating my intentions with no response from the unicom. I was at an altitude of approximately 50 ft AGL when I realized that there was an airplane being pushed directly onto the helipad that I was landing to. As I adjusted my landing angle to land to a clear space on the airport apron; I noticed that there was a tug pushing this dark unilluminated airplane onto the helipad. The only lights the line personnel had on were the headlights on the tug. After I landed and shut down the helicopter I walked over and asked if they knew they were parking airplanes on a helipad. They complained that there was nowhere else to tie them down. I asked if they could have let someone know that the helipad was closed and they responded that they would NOTAM the helipad in the morning.

Title: HELI PLT MAKING NIGHT APCH TO HELIPAD AT JWN IS SURPRISED TO SEE ACFT BEING TOWED ONTO PAD FOR OVERNIGHT PARKING.

Narrative: AT JOHN TUNE ARPT THERE IS A HELIPAD PAINTED ON THE ARPT APRON WHERE HELIS FREQUENTLY LAND FOR FUEL AND SVCS. I WAS APCHING THE HELIPAD FROM THE N (WINDS WERE GENERALLY LIGHT OUT OF THE S) ON A NORMAL APCH ANGLE. THE CONDITIONS WERE VERY DARK WITH NO ILLUMINATION FROM THE MOON. I HAD MADE ALL OF MY RADIO CALLS STATING MY INTENTIONS WITH NO RESPONSE FROM THE UNICOM. I WAS AT AN ALT OF APPROX 50 FT AGL WHEN I REALIZED THAT THERE WAS AN AIRPLANE BEING PUSHED DIRECTLY ONTO THE HELIPAD THAT I WAS LNDG TO. AS I ADJUSTED MY LNDG ANGLE TO LAND TO A CLR SPACE ON THE ARPT APRON; I NOTICED THAT THERE WAS A TUG PUSHING THIS DARK UNILLUMINATED AIRPLANE ONTO THE HELIPAD. THE ONLY LIGHTS THE LINE PERSONNEL HAD ON WERE THE HEADLIGHTS ON THE TUG. AFTER I LANDED AND SHUT DOWN THE HELI I WALKED OVER AND ASKED IF THEY KNEW THEY WERE PARKING AIRPLANES ON A HELIPAD.
