Narrative:

After contacting lpa center over sidak intersection I requested climb to FL320; center replied with stand by. Approximately 10 mins later I received a call that was barely readable to climb to FL320. I confirmed the clearance 3 times before executing the climb to FL320. At FL320 I confirmed with ATC that I was level at FL320; at which time ATC replied that I was not cleared to FL320; to descend to FL300; which I complied with immediately. After leveling at FL300 I again confirmed level with ATC. ATC again replied with the wrong flight number.
