Narrative:

My work partner and myself had finished one of our aircraft for the night. We went to help out on someone else's aircraft. We each pulled a tire off the tire cart and began changing the nose tires. We were finishing up with the tires when the persons assigned to the aircraft showed up. We started informing them what still needed to be done to the aircraft while we continued finishing the tires. I had been thinking to check the other tire for bins markings but during the turnover with the other crew I missed it. Normally; whenever I change nose tires; I do both tires so I know what goes on. However my work partner was new to the company and asked if he could change one. I said that would be fine; but with the untimely arrival and distrs; it was missed that we had mismatched (radial and bias) tires installed. It is in my opinion that there is no question there should be a different part number differentiating between the 2 tires. This would stop a great number; if not all; of these occurrences.
