Narrative:

Taxiing out on taxiway P to takeoff on runway 8R at mia we were behind an aircraft which was taxiing very slowly waiting for a gate. We were changed to taxiway Q which is not a normal taxi route. Approaching the runway at runway 8R there is an unusual hold short line which is marked with a red box on taxiway P but not on taxiway Q. In addition; the normal hold short line for runway 8R is very close to the second hold short line on taxiway P; but this is not the case on taxiway Q and there are no special lights at the taxi out hold short line. This leads to a non-standard and confusing confign. As a result I taxied past the taxi out hold short line to the 'normal' runway 8R hold short line. There was no one landing on runway 12 or runway 8R so I believe there was no conflict. I believe more taxiway markings and special lights are needed for this non-standard confign.
