Narrative:
This is about a specific flight. After executing an ILS to runway 07 at mroc; down to minimums (what I thought were minimums) and taxiing to the gate; I heard another flight ask the tower; 'how long have the approach lights been out of service?' their answer; '6 to 7 years!' a quick glance at the ILS runway 07 page shows with the ALS out of service one needs 1.8 KM to execute the approach. Not the 500 M I used assuming the ALS was working. Nowhere; in the NOTAMS; chart NOTAMS; ATIS; or air carrier station report is there a mention of the ALS out of service. This needs immediate attention.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: ACR FLT CREW EXECUTED ILS FOR RWY 07; MROC. DURING TAXI IN; IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT APCH LIGHTS WERE OUT OF SERVICE; AND HAD BEEN FOR SOME TIME; BUT CONDITION WAS NOT SPECIFIED IN NOTAMS OR ATIS. THIS CONDITION INCREASES THE VISIBILITY REQUIRED FOR THE APCH.
