Narrative:

I was working the jfk final position; when suddenly the jfk radar 'scattered' and never came back. I lost all forms of radar identify on all aircraft including primary; secondary; data blocks with identify; altitude; speed; etc. Also; all primary frequencys failed. Unfortunately; I am unaware of why the jfk radar failed. Fortunately; I switched to the newark radar sensor and my secondary frequency and was able to reestablish both radar identify and communications with the aircraft under my control.
