Narrative:

B737 was on a 6 mile final to runway 8 at burbank/bob hope airport. The pilots advised burbank tower that they experienced bleed over from van nuys tower on burbank tower's frequency 118.7. If the tower needs to transmit any instructions to an aircraft on final; there is the possibility that they won't receive them because of the bleed over on frequency. The date is unknown; but I have personally experienced this problem as a passenger on a flight inbound to burbank. The bleed over is quite loud and could be easily confused as instructions from burbank. To fix the problem; burbank's tower frequency needs to be changed. Currently; the burbank tower frequency is 118.7 and van nuys is 119.0 and 119.3.
