Narrative:

Descending on the seavu arrival; approach control kept us up at 17000 ft to get an air carrier Y in underneath and ahead of us. Just before intercepting the planned localizer for runway 25L we were told to intercept and land on runway 24R. When I changed the runway in the box I missed the discontinuity and by that time we intercepted the course for runway 25L. The first officer noticed this and corrected back towards runway 24R course and moments later approach control inquired about our course and correction. No other problems were encountered with an uneventful landing.
