Narrative:

On a fuel diversion to an unfamiliar and uncontrolled mcn (tower closed). After an already long day we were finally fueled and on our taxi out. First officer very busy preparing for takeoff; approaching the approach end of runway 13 to cross. The angle of the taxiway to the runway was such that we could not see the final to runway 13. While we were trying to be vigilant on CTAF we were also working on getting clearance on the other radio and failed to hear traffic inbound to runway 13. I very cautiously approached the crossing point on runway 13. Before crossing I turned on all available lights. At that time GA aircraft called a go around just before we began crossing the runway. His vigilance and our use of all available lighting avoided a potentially dangerous event.
