Narrative:

Cleared for a visual approach to runway 22 while on a base at 6000 ft (2400 ft AGL). The lda and PAPI were OTS. I was using the LNAV feature of the IRS to get a GS to runway 22. It wasn't until too late; in the flare; that I saw the yellow arrow markings and realized the threshold was displaced 5282 ft to near taxiway B. We landed in the displaced threshold area. The threshold was displaced so work could be performed on taxiway C; not for any structural reason and no workers were present. Digital ATIS is not available at ama. The first officer had copied the ATIS before descent and did not notate anything about the displaced threshold; nor was there any notice by dispatch on the release about it and ATC said nothing about it in the landing clearance. After reviewing the WX package more thoroughly; I found the NOTAM there. The last 4 or 5 times I've been to ama; I've landed on runway 31/13 but weight and wind would not allow it this time. I was not familiar with the displaced threshold on runway 22. Capts should always check the NOTAMS section of the WX package thoroughly. Dispatch should include important NOTAMS in the remarks section of the release. ATC should advise of displaced thresholds in the landing clearance.
