Narrative:

Lga NOTAM 6/44 after apple intersection expect radar vectors to final approach course. Radar required. Proud intersection via the lga VOR/DME R-225 na. Wef 06062816000. We arrived over apple intersection with no guidance as to whether this NOTAM was effective. When we asked the controller; we were instructed to fly the arrival as published. The controller was busy and we had already overflown apple. This NOTAM directly affects routing; and there is no indication as to when it is effective. Also the date is over a year old.

THE CTLR WAS BUSY AND WE HAD ALREADY OVERFLOWN APPLE. THIS NOTAM DIRECTLY AFFECTS ROUTING; AND THERE IS NO INDICATION AS TO WHEN IT IS EFFECTIVE. ALSO THE DATE IS OVER A YEAR OLD.
