Narrative:

C208 flight progress strip at hsv approach had the routing of cha gqo V54 MSL HLI1 mem (cid 425). The pilot called on reporting that he was direct memphis (mem). I contacted chattanooga approach and asked what routing that they gave C208. They said that they issued cha direct mem; which was the routing that the pilot filed. The route discrepancy shown between our 2 facilities could result in an operational error or deviation because our controllers at hsv would expect C208 to be on V54 through our airspace. What did occur is that the pilot ended up going well north of the course displayed on our flight progress strip. According to other controllers; this has been a problem for several weeks.

Title: HSV CTLR EXPRESSED CONCERN REGARDING INACCURATE FLT PLAN ROUTING DATA ON FGT PROGRESS STRIP.

Narrative: C208 FLT PROGRESS STRIP AT HSV APCH HAD THE ROUTING OF CHA GQO V54 MSL HLI1 MEM (CID 425). THE PLT CALLED ON RPTING THAT HE WAS DIRECT MEMPHIS (MEM). I CONTACTED CHATTANOOGA APCH AND ASKED WHAT ROUTING THAT THEY GAVE C208. THEY SAID THAT THEY ISSUED CHA DIRECT MEM; WHICH WAS THE ROUTING THAT THE PLT FILED. THE RTE DISCREPANCY SHOWN BTWN OUR 2 FACILITIES COULD RESULT IN AN OPERROR OR DEV BECAUSE OUR CTLRS AT HSV WOULD EXPECT C208 TO BE ON V54 THROUGH OUR AIRSPACE. WHAT DID OCCUR IS THAT THE PLT ENDED UP GOING WELL N OF THE COURSE DISPLAYED ON OUR FLT PROGRESS STRIP. ACCORDING TO OTHER CTLRS; THIS HAS BEEN A PROB FOR SEVERAL WKS.
