Narrative:

On may/xa/07 I installed the r-hand nosewheel assembly. The axel washer may have inadvertently not been installed. I believe to the best of my knowledge it was installed. Upon further investigation the last time this part was issued to a mechanic was on feb/xa/07. This same employee claims the washer was missing on may/xa/07. The ZZZ part number for the axel washer is part #X. None have been issued out at ZZZ since feb/xa/07. On feb/xa/07; stores had 3 available on hand; no aog's at ZZZ were issued and as of today; may/xa/07; they still show 3 available. Finally there was no pilot discrepancy entered in the logbook entry by the flight crew.
