Narrative:

Initially ATC assigned us altitudes on an arrival profile (tuca 9) at sao paolo airport. Approaching 'lane' wp; they (ATC) gave us a descent altitude to 4700 ft MSL. Right after that they cleared us for the 'via' tuca 9 to intercept runway 09L ILS. We were already below the crossing restriction (080B - 070A) FL070 -- then we engaged v-nav and aircraft leveled at 6300 ft to pick up the 'via' profile to 4900 ft -- then we were 2000 ft below the profile crossing altitude. No further incident.
