Narrative:

Prior to departing runway 24 at teb; I had the co-pilot brief me on the SID; but the 4.5 DME restr until climbing to 2;000 ft was unknowingly omitted. We were in a hurry; and I did not verify the chart myself. We climbed to 1500 ft on the runway heading; then turned right to 280 degrees. Due to the error; we climbed to 2000 ft then; instead of waiting until 4.5 DME. The controller commented we climbed a little soon; and cautioned us not to climb that early on future flts. Thankfully; there were no conflicts; or TCAS resolution advisories. The flight continued normally to destination.
