Narrative:

I was displaced from the CRJ700 to the crj and the transition training initiated on feb/mon/07. The training schedule was 2 days of ground school followed by 1 mv (simulator) and 1 loe (line oriented experience). One day of oe was to be scheduled at a later date. My previous experience in the crj was 3.5 months; 7 yrs ago. Due to this I felt the training that was scheduled was inadequate. I communicated this to the director of training during day 1 of ground school and added that no presentation was prepared and the instructor was unfamiliar with CRJ700 system. My request for changes met with resistance until the union intervened. Next; I completed 1 day of oe and was signed off; however I did not feel comfortable and requested another day of oe. Again this request was met with significant resistance. A chief pilot and the manager of flight standards called me and asked why I couldn't complete the training in the time allotted and specifically where I fell short. I explained that there was nothing specific; it was everything about flying a new aircraft and I did not feel comfortable after only 1 day of oe. The chief said the training I requested would be provided only if I sent him an email detailing areas I felt I was deficient. The union intervened on my behalf. 5 days later; the chief called and left a message stating that I did not provide him with the requested email; I would be put in a non-pay status at XA00 pm that day. The union was finally able to resolve the situation and 1 more day of oe was scheduled. My concern is are pilots experiencing the same resistance and intimidation I did and not speaking up; just agreeing with management and going out on line.

THE UNION WAS FINALLY ABLE TO RESOLVE THE SITUATION AND 1 MORE DAY OF OE WAS SCHEDULED. MY CONCERN IS ARE PLTS EXPERIENCING THE SAME RESISTANCE AND INTIMIDATION I DID AND NOT SPEAKING UP; JUST AGREEING WITH MGMNT AND GOING OUT ON LINE.
