Narrative:

Boarded aircraft at XA00 for XA50 departure. Aircraft was held in dfw previous day for maintenance work on bleed air valve! Captain loaded FMS with route data from release. Rate on release had flight departing on soldo 2 departure. Upon pulling up pre departure clearance on ACARS; first officer noted departure on pre departure clearance was not the soldo 2 but the trist 2 departure. First officer made appropriate changes in FMS. Upon departure tower assigned runway heading. Aircraft departed runway heading but upon check-in with departure; ATC assigned direct soldo which is not on the trist 2 departure we were expecting. We questioned the clearance then flew as assigned direct soldo and rechked our clearance on our pre departure clearance; as we flew direct soldo. Upon check-in with next controller; we received our routing as it should have been. The pre departure clearance we got from our ACARS was from the previous day. All flight numbers and everything else was the same. We are not sure why the previous day's pre departure clearance did not drop out of the ACARS upon engine shutdown the previous day; or why the initial request from today did not pull up the new day's pre departure clearance information. We actually never flew any part of the SID as we were on vectors from tower then departure; but were we to have been assigned to fly the SID; there would have been a deviation.

Title: AN MD88 DEPARTED DFW WITH A PDC CLEARANCE FOR THE PREVIOUS DAY'S FLT WHICH WAS CANCELED FOR MAINTENANCE.

Narrative: BOARDED ACFT AT XA00 FOR XA50 DEP. ACFT WAS HELD IN DFW PREVIOUS DAY FOR MAINT WORK ON BLEED AIR VALVE! CAPT LOADED FMS WITH RTE DATA FROM RELEASE. RATE ON RELEASE HAD FLT DEPARTING ON SOLDO 2 DEP. UPON PULLING UP PDC ON ACARS; FO NOTED DEP ON PDC WAS NOT THE SOLDO 2 BUT THE TRIST 2 DEP. FO MADE APPROPRIATE CHANGES IN FMS. UPON DEP TWR ASSIGNED RWY HDG. ACFT DEPARTED RWY HDG BUT UPON CHK-IN WITH DEP; ATC ASSIGNED DIRECT SOLDO WHICH IS NOT ON THE TRIST 2 DEP WE WERE EXPECTING. WE QUESTIONED THE CLRNC THEN FLEW AS ASSIGNED DIRECT SOLDO AND RECHKED OUR CLRNC ON OUR PDC; AS WE FLEW DIRECT SOLDO. UPON CHK-IN WITH NEXT CTLR; WE RECEIVED OUR ROUTING AS IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN. THE PDC WE GOT FROM OUR ACARS WAS FROM THE PREVIOUS DAY. ALL FLT NUMBERS AND EVERYTHING ELSE WAS THE SAME. WE ARE NOT SURE WHY THE PREVIOUS DAY'S PDC DID NOT DROP OUT OF THE ACARS UPON ENG SHUTDOWN THE PREVIOUS DAY; OR WHY THE INITIAL REQUEST FROM TODAY DID NOT PULL UP THE NEW DAY'S PDC INFO. WE ACTUALLY NEVER FLEW ANY PART OF THE SID AS WE WERE ON VECTORS FROM TWR THEN DEP; BUT WERE WE TO HAVE BEEN ASSIGNED TO FLY THE SID; THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN A DEV.
