Narrative:
I was notified by mr X that an incident happened on aircraft which we worked on tuesday; that the #4 main tire hub cap fairing was found missing in ZZZ1 on wednesday. Aircraft was in ZZZ for a mvi pm service check. During the walkaround #4 main tire was worn beyond limits and needed to be changed. I assisted mr Y with the tire replacement. He installed the hub cap and safetied the mount attach bolts and then put his tools away and returned the tire cart while I finished the installation by putting the fairing on. No discrepancies were noted upon completion. How the fairing came off I have no idea. It was a routine tire change that was replaced per maintenance manual.
