Narrative:

After setting power for the takeoff; we received an engine #1 green hydraulic system low pump pressure ECAM. I observed the hydraulic ECAM page displayed and the engine driven pump low pressure indication. We xferred control and aborted at between 60-70 KTS. Taxied clear of the runway and turned left on taxiway C. Performed the ECAM procedure and contacted maintenance control. Maintenance control had us go through some troubleshooting steps and it was determined that this was a bad low pressure sensor; but that the pump was producing normal hydraulic pressure. The indication was deferred; we followed the steps outlined on the MEL placard and requested taxi clearance to runway 25R. While taxiing on taxiway C; we lost green hydraulic system quantity. Informed tower we would be re-requesting a tow back to the terminal and that they should inspect the taxiway. Once at the gate; and after the passenger had deplaned; station maintenance informed us that the pump pressure sensor had broken off of the housing and caused the leak.

Title: A319 ABORTS TKOF AT LOW SPEED DUE TO ECAM GREEN HYDRAULIC SYSTEM FAILURE.

Narrative: AFTER SETTING PWR FOR THE TKOF; WE RECEIVED AN ENG #1 GREEN HYD SYS LOW PUMP PRESSURE ECAM. I OBSERVED THE HYD ECAM PAGE DISPLAYED AND THE ENG DRIVEN PUMP LOW PRESSURE INDICATION. WE XFERRED CTL AND ABORTED AT BTWN 60-70 KTS. TAXIED CLR OF THE RWY AND TURNED L ON TXWY C. PERFORMED THE ECAM PROC AND CONTACTED MAINT CTL. MAINT CTL HAD US GO THROUGH SOME TROUBLESHOOTING STEPS AND IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THIS WAS A BAD LOW PRESSURE SENSOR; BUT THAT THE PUMP WAS PRODUCING NORMAL HYD PRESSURE. THE INDICATION WAS DEFERRED; WE FOLLOWED THE STEPS OUTLINED ON THE MEL PLACARD AND REQUESTED TAXI CLRNC TO RWY 25R. WHILE TAXIING ON TXWY C; WE LOST GREEN HYD SYS QUANTITY. INFORMED TWR WE WOULD BE RE-REQUESTING A TOW BACK TO THE TERMINAL AND THAT THEY SHOULD INSPECT THE TXWY. ONCE AT THE GATE; AND AFTER THE PAX HAD DEPLANED; STATION MAINT INFORMED US THAT THE PUMP PRESSURE SENSOR HAD BROKEN OFF OF THE HOUSING AND CAUSED THE LEAK.
