Narrative:

While sitting at a jfk gate; we noted a jolt of the aircraft. The passenger were on board and the paperwork had been completed and given to the ramp agent. The jolt occurred while the door was closed waiting pushback permission. I went outside to determine what happened and if any damage could be seen. The ramp personnel didn't see anything. During the walkaround inspection; I could not see any visible damage. Earlier; the ramp had removed the tow bar for another pushback. I then wondered if during tow bar re-attachment; that was possibly the jolt that we felt. The flight proceeded to destination. Upon post flight inspection; the first officer noted a missing static wick at the base of the left winglet. I called ramp and informed them that it appeared the aircraft had been possibly hit by a belt loader. A discrepancy was entered into the maintenance log.
