On jan/mon/07; aircraft had an open write-up on #1 position light 'white' left wing burned out. The #1 white position light deferred per MEL 34-43-01A in error. The proper MEL was 33-43-01A. The document error was corrected on jan/tue/07; log sheet with proper MEL #33-43-01A and new placard.

Narrative: ON JAN/MON/07; ACFT HAD AN OPEN WRITE-UP ON #1 POS LIGHT 'WHITE' L WING BURNED OUT. THE #1 WHITE POS LIGHT DEFERRED PER MEL 34-43-01A IN ERROR. THE PROPER MEL WAS 33-43-01A. THE DOCUMENT ERROR WAS CORRECTED ON JAN/TUE/07; LOG SHEET WITH PROPER MEL #33-43-01A AND NEW PLACARD.
