Narrative:

On dec/sun/06; at XA15 I was given a job slip for aircraft X to check condition of a lower VHF antenna. Job slip stated antenna burn mark. I approached the first officer and he proceeded to describe the discrepancy and I told him it needed to be in the logbook. Then I notified the captain it needed to be in the logbook. Neither first officer or captain complied. I entered discrepancy in logbook myself and repaired item per manuals. I believe the flight crew did not fully understand that discrepancies they find on a walkaround need to be written in the logbook.
