Narrative:

Violation of far 121.471 flight time limitations scheduled to fly ZZZ1 to ZZZ3 reassigned to fly ZZZ1-ZZZ3 via ZZZ2 with a departure as flight XXX. We arrived at ZZZ1 airport around XA30 and found the aircraft park at the terminal. After a lengthy delay for fuel we left the gate at XD42. During pushback a tug operator broke the towbar and the aircraft could not be returned to the gate. After nearly 4 hours we were finally able to continue the pushback/tow to deicing and takeoff for ZZZ2. We finally arrived in ZZZ2 at XA47 local time and with a total flight time 5.05 hours. More than 2 hours prior to our arrival in ZZZ2 we were reassigned again to fly to ZZZ4 instead of ZZZ3. ZZZ2 to ZZZ3 equals 2.17 hour flight plan. ZZZ2-ZZZ4 equals 4.20. When we arrived in ZZZ2 I contacted our crew tracker and the chief pilot to inform them of the 8 hour limitation and our illegality. I was informed that due to the 'divert' further informed them that our flight to ZZZ2 was not a 'diversion' and that we had been reassigned to ZZZ2. Furthermore; that we could not leave the gate at ZZZ2 for ZZZ4 (and a 4.20 flight plan) and knowingly fly over the 8 hour limitation. Both the tracker and the chief pilot continued to declare that we were legal and given relief from said far. I disagreed. The captain also contacted them and was told the same thing. Crew tracking was well aware that we would be in violation of the far well before we arrived in ZZZ2. They had the time and the opportunity to either reassign another crew; deadhead a crew into ZZZ2; cancel the flight or even to have captain and I fly a legal and scheduled sequence to ZZZ3 and then have another crew fly ZZZ3 to ZZZ4. They chose to falsely declare our flight as a 'diversion' to circumvent the far's. They further violated far 121.471 reference part 1; 8.3 paragraph (B)(3) and part 1; 8.3 subpart right; paragraph (C). Over 9 hours aloft they failed to give us proper crew rest in ZZZ4 of 11 hours. 18 hours as required under sub part right. There was never a diversion. There were however many reassignments.

Title: B757 CREW IS RESCHEDULED TO FLY OVER THE 8 HR FLT TIME LIMITATION.

Narrative: VIOLATION OF FAR 121.471 FLT TIME LIMITATIONS SCHEDULED TO FLY ZZZ1 TO ZZZ3 REASSIGNED TO FLY ZZZ1-ZZZ3 VIA ZZZ2 WITH A DEP AS FLT XXX. WE ARRIVED AT ZZZ1 ARPT AROUND XA30 AND FOUND THE ACFT PARK AT THE TERMINAL. AFTER A LENGTHY DELAY FOR FUEL WE LEFT THE GATE AT XD42. DURING PUSHBACK A TUG OPERATOR BROKE THE TOWBAR AND THE ACFT COULD NOT BE RETURNED TO THE GATE. AFTER NEARLY 4 HRS WE WERE FINALLY ABLE TO CONTINUE THE PUSHBACK/TOW TO DEICING AND TKOF FOR ZZZ2. WE FINALLY ARRIVED IN ZZZ2 AT XA47 LCL TIME AND WITH A TOTAL FLT TIME 5.05 HRS. MORE THAN 2 HRS PRIOR TO OUR ARR IN ZZZ2 WE WERE REASSIGNED AGAIN TO FLY TO ZZZ4 INSTEAD OF ZZZ3. ZZZ2 TO ZZZ3 EQUALS 2.17 HR FLT PLAN. ZZZ2-ZZZ4 EQUALS 4.20. WHEN WE ARRIVED IN ZZZ2 I CONTACTED OUR CREW TRACKER AND THE CHIEF PLT TO INFORM THEM OF THE 8 HR LIMITATION AND OUR ILLEGALITY. I WAS INFORMED THAT DUE TO THE 'DIVERT' FURTHER INFORMED THEM THAT OUR FLT TO ZZZ2 WAS NOT A 'DIVERSION' AND THAT WE HAD BEEN REASSIGNED TO ZZZ2. FURTHERMORE; THAT WE COULD NOT LEAVE THE GATE AT ZZZ2 FOR ZZZ4 (AND A 4.20 FLT PLAN) AND KNOWINGLY FLY OVER THE 8 HR LIMITATION. BOTH THE TRACKER AND THE CHIEF PLT CONTINUED TO DECLARE THAT WE WERE LEGAL AND GIVEN RELIEF FROM SAID FAR. I DISAGREED. THE CAPT ALSO CONTACTED THEM AND WAS TOLD THE SAME THING. CREW TRACKING WAS WELL AWARE THAT WE WOULD BE IN VIOLATION OF THE FAR WELL BEFORE WE ARRIVED IN ZZZ2. THEY HAD THE TIME AND THE OPPORTUNITY TO EITHER REASSIGN ANOTHER CREW; DEADHEAD A CREW INTO ZZZ2; CANCEL THE FLT OR EVEN TO HAVE CAPT AND I FLY A LEGAL AND SCHEDULED SEQUENCE TO ZZZ3 AND THEN HAVE ANOTHER CREW FLY ZZZ3 TO ZZZ4. THEY CHOSE TO FALSELY DECLARE OUR FLT AS A 'DIVERSION' TO CIRCUMVENT THE FAR'S. THEY FURTHER VIOLATED FAR 121.471 REF PART 1; 8.3 PARAGRAPH (B)(3) AND PART 1; 8.3 SUBPART R; PARAGRAPH (C). OVER 9 HRS ALOFT THEY FAILED TO GIVE US PROPER CREW REST IN ZZZ4 OF 11 HRS. 18 HRS AS REQUIRED UNDER SUB PART R. THERE WAS NEVER A DIVERSION. THERE WERE HOWEVER MANY REASSIGNMENTS.
