Narrative:

Departed taxiway rather than runway. Flew departure procedure for incorrect direction of departure. Departed from taxiway rather than runway; and was vectored by tower to on course heading after deviating from the appropriate departure procedure for direction of flight. During departure; autoplt (which was engaged for climb out) experienced what was apparently an excessive trim in motion; and disengaged; further increasing the workload. This deviation could clearly have had dire consequences both for myself; and innocent others. I cannot imagine again flying in these conditions with such inadequate recency of experience; even if technically 'legal.' I also cannot imagine flying again with this level of fatigue; and without carefully and painstakingly briefing the departure procedure; flight; and airport diagrams.

Title: CESSNA 182 PLT DEPARTS FROM TXWY IN WRONG DIRECTION OF THE ACTIVE RWY AT EGE.

Narrative: DEPARTED TXWY RATHER THAN RWY. FLEW DEP PROC FOR INCORRECT DIRECTION OF DEP. DEPARTED FROM TXWY RATHER THAN RWY; AND WAS VECTORED BY TWR TO ON COURSE HDG AFTER DEVIATING FROM THE APPROPRIATE DEP PROC FOR DIRECTION OF FLT. DURING DEP; AUTOPLT (WHICH WAS ENGAGED FOR CLBOUT) EXPERIENCED WHAT WAS APPARENTLY AN EXCESSIVE TRIM IN MOTION; AND DISENGAGED; FURTHER INCREASING THE WORKLOAD. THIS DEV COULD CLRLY HAVE HAD DIRE CONSEQUENCES BOTH FOR MYSELF; AND INNOCENT OTHERS. I CANNOT IMAGINE AGAIN FLYING IN THESE CONDITIONS WITH SUCH INADEQUATE RECENCY OF EXPERIENCE; EVEN IF TECHNICALLY 'LEGAL.' I ALSO CANNOT IMAGINE FLYING AGAIN WITH THIS LEVEL OF FATIGUE; AND WITHOUT CAREFULLY AND PAINSTAKINGLY BRIEFING THE DEP PROC; FLT; AND ARPT DIAGRAMS.
