Narrative:

Conducting operational experience for a new hire first officer while being observed by a check airman. On RNAV approach to runway 8 in jnu. Selected flaps 10 degrees and the leading edge flap transit light illuminated. Trailing edge flaps indicated 10 degrees and overhead annunciator panel indicated all leading edge devices in the full extend position. Reviewed the leading edge flap transit during flap extension checklist. Condition did not match checklist. Performed missed approach to holding where we contacted maintenance and described situation. Normal landing confign could be achieved with the exception of the leading edge flap transit light. Speed tape indications for maneuver speeds; stick shaker; confign limit speeds were erroneous. (Ie; at flaps 10 degrees and 180 KTS speed tape showed operating in the middle of the amber band.) preventive measures: additional information provided in system handbook. A note in QRH procedure to address this situation. Currently no guidance is available.
