Narrative:

During night visual approach to runway 26 at den; although within stabilized approach criteria; flaps stuck indicating 10 degrees on left needle and 15 degrees right needle. Executed missed approach inside of 500 ft due to flap confign. During go around; the flaps did begin to track to 30 degrees (selected position did not select flaps 15 degrees on go around due to stuck needles). After flaps moved to 30 degrees with gear up; the gear horn was sounding; then flaps 15 degrees selected to stop horn. Once level; flaps 10 degrees selected and remained until rejoining approach. A longer final was requested and flaps deployed earlier; although the flaps did stick again at 10 degrees for a few seconds; they did continue down to 30 degrees and a normal landing was made. No rolling moment was felt (autoplt off) and crew suspected the gauge and not an asymmetry. After landing system written up in ACARS; and maintenance informed verbally of flap problem.

Title: A B737-300 FLAP SYS FIRST INDICATED A SPLIT FLAP CONDITION AND DURING A SECOND APCH A SLOW EXTENSION. NO ROLLING MOTION WAS FELT.

Narrative: DURING NIGHT VISUAL APCH TO RWY 26 AT DEN; ALTHOUGH WITHIN STABILIZED APCH CRITERIA; FLAPS STUCK INDICATING 10 DEGS ON L NEEDLE AND 15 DEGS R NEEDLE. EXECUTED MISSED APCH INSIDE OF 500 FT DUE TO FLAP CONFIGN. DURING GAR; THE FLAPS DID BEGIN TO TRACK TO 30 DEGS (SELECTED POS DID NOT SELECT FLAPS 15 DEGS ON GAR DUE TO STUCK NEEDLES). AFTER FLAPS MOVED TO 30 DEGS WITH GEAR UP; THE GEAR HORN WAS SOUNDING; THEN FLAPS 15 DEGS SELECTED TO STOP HORN. ONCE LEVEL; FLAPS 10 DEGS SELECTED AND REMAINED UNTIL REJOINING APCH. A LONGER FINAL WAS REQUESTED AND FLAPS DEPLOYED EARLIER; ALTHOUGH THE FLAPS DID STICK AGAIN AT 10 DEGS FOR A FEW SECONDS; THEY DID CONTINUE DOWN TO 30 DEGS AND A NORMAL LNDG WAS MADE. NO ROLLING MOMENT WAS FELT (AUTOPLT OFF) AND CREW SUSPECTED THE GAUGE AND NOT AN ASYMMETRY. AFTER LNDG SYS WRITTEN UP IN ACARS; AND MAINT INFORMED VERBALLY OF FLAP PROB.
