Narrative:

At FL410 in vicinity of vetmo noticed traffic ahead at FL410 visually and on TCAS. Asked port au prince and they said there was no traffic at FL410. Got TA followed by RA. Responded to RA and passed 1000 ft below the traffic. We told port au prince there in fact was traffic at FL410 and returned to FL410.

Title: B737 AT FL410 WITH PORT AU PRINCE ATC EXPERIENCED TCAS RA WITH TFC AT SAME ALT; CTLR INDICATED NO TFC WAS AT THE SUBJECT ALT.

Narrative: AT FL410 IN VICINITY OF VETMO NOTICED TFC AHEAD AT FL410 VISUALLY AND ON TCAS. ASKED PORT AU PRINCE AND THEY SAID THERE WAS NO TFC AT FL410. GOT TA FOLLOWED BY RA. RESPONDED TO RA AND PASSED 1000 FT BELOW THE TFC. WE TOLD PORT AU PRINCE THERE IN FACT WAS TFC AT FL410 AND RETURNED TO FL410.
