Narrative:

Aircraft X did an air return because an ETOPS pre-departure check was not accomplished. The aircraft was swapped to an earlier flight and left without the check. The technology group put a pop up message to alert us when an aircraft is within 10 mins of departure. My 2 partners did not remember receiving the pop up and I am not sure. We were very busy and I recall I was in the middle of issuing a deferral when a pop up occurred. I am not sure if it was for aircraft X but I remember being prevented from typing my deferral and I closed it to continue. As it turns out the pop up would not have helped us anyway because ZZZ received it and responded accordingly.

Narrative: ACFT X DID AN AIR RETURN BECAUSE AN ETOPS PRE-DEP CHK WAS NOT ACCOMPLISHED. THE ACFT WAS SWAPPED TO AN EARLIER FLT AND LEFT WITHOUT THE CHK. THE TECHNOLOGY GROUP PUT A POP UP MESSAGE TO ALERT US WHEN AN ACFT IS WITHIN 10 MINS OF DEP. MY 2 PARTNERS DID NOT REMEMBER RECEIVING THE POP UP AND I AM NOT SURE. WE WERE VERY BUSY AND I RECALL I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF ISSUING A DEFERRAL WHEN A POP UP OCCURRED. I AM NOT SURE IF IT WAS FOR ACFT X BUT I REMEMBER BEING PREVENTED FROM TYPING MY DEFERRAL AND I CLOSED IT TO CONTINUE. AS IT TURNS OUT THE POP UP WOULD NOT HAVE HELPED US ANYWAY BECAUSE ZZZ RECEIVED IT AND RESPONDED ACCORDINGLY.
